Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use mainstaynaturals.com, learn about Vivacelle, and place an order, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or voice control. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our target.

What we have built in

We designed the site to be easy to read and easy to use:

• Large, readable text. The main body text is 20 pixels and uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed to be easy to read for people with low vision. Captions, footer notes and some small labels are a little smaller, at about 17 pixels.
• Large tap targets. On a phone, the menu button, the bag, the menu links and the footer links are at least 48 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Keyboard use. On the product page you can choose a bottle pack with the keyboard: Tab moves into the choices, and the arrow keys move between them.
• Structure for screen readers. Pages declare their language and use headings to mark their sections. The tables on our policy pages sit in their own labelled regions, which scroll sideways on a phone instead of the whole page.
• Less motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, we cut back animation on the site.
• Descriptions for images. The photos on our home and product pages have text descriptions. Purely decorative images, and bottle pictures that sit next to their own written label, are marked so screen readers skip them.

Known limitations

We are still working on this, and some parts of the site may not yet fully meet our target. When we learn about a problem, we work to fix it.

Content from other companies

Some parts of the site come from other companies, such as the card-payment form at checkout, which our payment processor provides. We cannot fully control how accessible those parts are, but we will raise any problem you report with the company that provides them.
